The TB-29 represents the state-of-the-art in submarine thinline towed arrays. It is intended for use with the AN/BQQ-5(E) sonar system and the AN/BSY-1 and BSY-2 submarine combat systems. Its increased length over earlier arrays allows the TB-29 to offer superior detection, classification, and localization performance. The TB-29 is ready today to provide our submariners the tactical advantages they need to meet the threats of the next century. The Lockheed Martin world-class facility in Syracuse, New York offers: - The only industrial, Navy-certified heading sensor calibration facility in the world along with a Navy-certified acoustic calibration facility.
- A fully automated, industry unique, module "hose and fill" facility that simultaneously installs electronics and oil fills array modules.
- Non-invasive X-ray inspection of all array electronics placements. A battery of automated test equipment and recording procedures.
